Day 2 of showcasing the Basic Border Dies. They all have a stitched edge to them which really finish offs the look. If you are layering the borders like I did with the Old Olive Cardstock and the Beauty of the Earth Designer Paper, below I have a visual TIP! Card stock 2 x 5-1/4 and the designer paper at 1-3/4 x 5-1/4. Die cut both strips at the same time. This way the patterned edges line up perfectly!
I used sponge daubers to add a ink to the flowers and leaf image to get the water color look.
Measurements below item list.
Merry Merlots 8-1/2 x 5-1/2
Basic White (2) 4 x 5-1/4, scrap for punching
Beauty of the Earth 1-3/4 x 5-1/4
Old Olive 2 x 5-1/4
General Instructions: Line up the designer paper and old olive strips on right side. Die cut the right side using Basic Borders Die. Separate and adhere so straight left side align. Set aside. With sponge dauber and green ink, ink the image so just lower stem and leaves. Stamp randomly on basic white. With sponge dauber and ink, sponge several colors of ink on the flowers. Stamp flowers over green stems. Add border die. Adhere layer to card base. Stamp sentiment on white and punch. Ink up flowers, stamp off once then stamp over sentiment. Punch out. Ink around edges. Add to card front. Add gems.
Take care and Happy Crafting!
